WHAT IS VERIFIED
The official-source version
Oregon State Parks currently lists a separated clothing-optional beach as a park feature and explains that the clothing-optional area is designed to be separate and not visible from the clothing-required portion of the park.
Before you go
- River levels can affect foot access to the clothing-optional beach.
- A day-use parking permit is required.
- The clothing-optional area is separate from the main clothing-required area.
- Check the Oregon State Parks page for current river and park advisories before traveling.
Rebel field note
Rooster Rock is a great example of deliberate site design: a mainstream state park where the clothing-optional zone is physically separated instead of treated like a hidden unofficial corner.
Check the rules again before the trip.
