CURRENT ASSIGNMENTS
Field assignments are prompts, not contests. A phone photo is fine if it tells us something about a place or a season.
First fall color, seed heads, late wildflowers, fog, migrating birds, cool mornings, changing shorelines—anything that says the season is moving.
Take the assignment →A current forest, trail, river, beach, lake, storm, access road or landscape photo can be more useful than a perfect postcard.
Send current conditions →Many Field Stations and Outposts still have no community scenery photo. Help document the setting without photographing strangers.
Find a place →WHAT BELONGS HERE
YES: forests, flowers, wildlife, water, beaches, trails, campsites, weather, signs, landscapes, unusual natural details.
NO: voyeuristic photography, sexual content, minors, or identifiable people who did not agree to be photographed and published.
LOCATION: exact coordinates are optional. Sensitive wildlife sites and private places should stay approximate.
