The official-source version

The Travis County Parks Foundation identifies Hippie Hollow as Texas’s only clothing-optional public park. Current Travis County park rules prohibit admission to anyone under 18 and place specific restrictions on photography, recording equipment, pets, and other activities.

Before you go

  • This is an adults-only park: no person under 18 is admitted.
  • The shoreline is steep and rocky rather than a conventional sandy beach.
  • Photography of visitors without their approval is prohibited under county park rules.
  • Pets are not permitted. Check lake levels and current park conditions before visiting.

Rebel field note

Hippie Hollow deserves its own category: less “nude beach,” more rugged public lake park. That distinction matters when you are deciding what footwear, seating, and expectations to bring.
