Call or read the visitor page first
Private properties can require advance registration, ID, orientation, membership, reservations, or specific arrival hours. Do not assume you can simply drive through the gate because the website says “resort.”
Check-in is usually the least mysterious part
You arrive clothed, check in, learn the property rules, and find out where clothing is optional, expected, or required. A first-time orientation is a good sign: clear expectations make the property easier for everyone.
Facilities vary enormously
A small club may be mostly campsites, trails, and a pool. A larger resort may have cabins, RV hookups, sports courts, food service, events, and year-round lodging. Choose based on the kind of trip you want rather than the biggest amenity list.
The towel rule
Bring a towel for shared seating. Many visitors carry one around the property the way someone at a conventional resort might carry a room key or water bottle.
Phones and cameras
Expect stricter privacy norms than at an ordinary hotel pool. Some venues restrict phone or camera use in recreation areas. Follow the property policy and never photograph another guest without permission.
Social pressure is not the point
A respectful club should make its attire expectations clear without making the experience feel sexual or coercive. If a venue's tone, rules, or clientele are not what you are looking for, choose another venue.
Day pass first
If available, a day visit is a useful way to learn whether you like the environment before booking an overnight stay. Our Private Outposts directory notes day-visitor and overnight access when verified.
Quick questions
Do I arrive nude?
No. Arrive normally and follow check-in instructions. Staff will explain where the clothing policy applies.
What should I bring?
At minimum, bring ID if required, towels, sunscreen, water, and whatever normal pool/campground gear fits the property.
Can I visit alone?
Many venues accept solo visitors, but policies vary. Check the current visitor rules rather than assuming.
